New offering : the AstroFloral

I am pleased to announce The AstroFloral, a collaborative offering co created with my esteemed colleague and friend, Marty Windahl. Empirical research project: the efficacy of Flower Essences in a psychotherapy practice

As a psychotherapist trained in attachment theory, socio-emotional development, parent child relationships, epigenetics, somatics, and cellular memory, and a healer trained in the ancient art of color and light frequency healing, flower essences, and energy consciousness, I have looked to the natural world to illuminate my path and the healing path for all.  Throughout the past 7 years, I have worked alchemically to create a living Light Language of truth - a practice that fully integrates all aspects of this lifetime’s learnings.

As I continue to evolve my methods and practices, I am concurrently completing the requirements to become a certified Flower Essence Therapy Practitioner with the esteemed Flower Essence Society (FES).  FES is the international organization of health practitioners, researchers and students interested in furthering flower essence therapy through advanced education and clinical research on the efficacy of flower essences in practices of all types.

My research for FES intends to highlight the role that nature’s highest teachings play for those who have felt unseen or marginalized by traditional psychotherapy and other healing methods.  Through the active participation of willing participants, we will generate original, empirical research on the efficacy of flower essences as aides in the individual healing process.  As your guide, you’ll have the opportunity to be seen, heard and held within the container of my cumulative professional teachings, practicum, practices and life’s work.  With the commitment of 5 sessions, and the use of 3 custom tailored flower essence remedies over the course of 4-5 months, we’ll document new awareness, knowing and integration over time. Our sessions will flow intuitively and organically, and we’ll meet in the way(s) that best fit your needs (remote via zoom, in office or a combination thereof).  You are welcome to work on any issues of a personal nature, big or small, experiences that have yet to be fully integrated or haven’t been adequately supported through other modalities; anything that currently occupies space and time as thoughts, emotions, feelings, bodily symptoms and discomfort, mood, and certainly that which you have yet to articulate or process.  You are encouraged to use this time verbally and creatively.  Active journaling, contemplating, sensing, feeling and creative expression are highly encouraged, will be documented and shared with FES (all personal identifying factors will be eliminated to protect your privacy) to demonstrate efficacy.

The energy exchange is $88 per 1.5 hr session, $440 for 5 sessions.  Participation is limited to 6.

A place to Ground & Flourish

I am elated to share the news that my therapeutic healing practice has a new physical location in the heart of the North Coast . Grounding my integrative practice in a turn of the century building that has been gorgeously updated , in Arcata , a town that I have loved and cherished for over 25 years , is a dream come true . For the next few weeks , in the interest of generating resonance with our new healing space , I am spending time carefully feeling , listening and noticing how to best create a container that beckons a deep sense of safety and expansion for all . Endings make way for Beginnings

When we honor the cycles of Life, we recognize that everything, in its right timing, runs its course. In Western culture, we tend to fear big shifts, endings and death. We rationalize staying in our current state to avoid changing circumstances and are often willing to do whatever we can to hold onto what is no matter the level of discomfort that brings. In doing so, we dishonor ourselves.

Earlier this year, to honor my own natural cycles and karmic path, I left the security of the life I had known very well and moved from Los Angeles to a rural forest setting on the majestic Humboldt County coastline. Back to my beloved Ancient Ones who whispered a knowing to me in 1996:

“You are supposed to be here for the trees.”

For the duration of 2021, I will continue settling into my home, recalibrate and rest as much as possible, while continuing to support my clients near and far. I am curious about the new cycles that 2022 is sure to bring, and look forward to sharing what has already begun to gestate.

New Practice Space in Eagle Rock

My practice has moved right next door to my former practice space in Eagle Rock. Things are coming together nicely, at a manageable pace. It’s interesting how the process of moving and settling mimics the therapeutic process. Both require honesty, sifting, purging and making room for the the unknown. When we actively feel the emotions that come by way of these processes, we’ll often find courage and hope we hadn’t previously known.
